This client is a fourth generation referral! The challenge was to design a built-in room divider that enveloped an air return duct that was left in the middle of a large room after several renovation projects. It was a bit tricky but we developed the design pictured here. It resulted in a cozy TV room on one side and a separate reading area on the other side. The solid cherry top is built completely around the air return duct and the seam is nearly invisible. The TV room side includes the television, media component, and glass display shelves, and the reading room side provides lots of storage for CDs and a bookcase. Once again, the client decided on a natural cherry finish, no stain involved.
